With this series of new sculptures, Thomas Jorion offers a photographic materiality of the urban. The sculpture becomes an opportunity for the artist to capture a form in space and to give body to his preferred material: concrete. These monolithic urban architectures make us perceive an accomplishment, a powerful presence of the city.
These towers are the reflection of the world around us, the photographic impressions that the artist places on the work are a snapshot, a mirror of the city.
